About the book: This Chinese mythology-inspired middle-grade fantasy series continues as heroine Faryn Liu embarks on a quest to save her brother and defeat the demons--perfect for fans of the Aru Shah and Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond books.
Katie Zhao is the author of the middle-grade fantasy The Dragon Warrior. She grew up and currently lives in Michigan, where there was little for her to do besides bury her nose in a good book or a writing journal. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and a minor in political science; she also completed her master’s in accounting there. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading, singing, dancing (badly), and checking out new photo-worthy restaurants. Find out more about Katie at her website www.katiezhao.com and follow her on Instagram and Twitter @ktzhaoauthor.
