Off-site: Dr. Susan Rice at the Detroit Public Library Author Series

Literati Bookstore is thrilled to be on hand to sell books as the Detroit Public Library welcomes National Security Advisor to President Obama and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Dr. Susan Rice, as part of their Author Series, in support of her new book Tough Love.

Dr. Rice’s memoir, Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For is a New York Times bestseller. In the book, she recalls pivotal moments from her dynamic career on the front lines of American diplomacy and foreign policy. From “Black Hawk Down” in Somalia to the genocide in Rwanda and the East Africa embassy bombings in the late 1990s, Libya, Syria, a secret channel to Iran, the Ebola epidemic and the opening to Cuba during the Obama years—Dr. Rice provides an insider’s account of these complex issues.
